24th Dec- Christmas Eve!!! hmm....din really go anywhere... went Blue Coral with dar.. blur mi forgot to bring my hp out!!! arrgg i was sooooooo xian the whole night... sobz...
25th Dec-Christmas day!!! woohoo.....Dar's off day!! relaxing day... went Parkway "see see look look" cos we gonna hav Steamboat with Mike and Candy at Joo Chiat ... its been ages since i went there... nice place to chill out wor...
oh we had Steamboat at No. 443 Joo Chiat Road! [[Han Lin Steamboat]] nice tom yum soup they hav... its not steamboat buffet style but we are given a menu to choose wat we want... not bad overall.... just tt the "live" prawns really gave us a hard time... haha

Christmas just went in a glimpse.... isn't it fast? 2006 will b gone soon...its been a great yr, the onli disheartening thingy is my results... haiz.. hope i will do better in 2007..( if u read the news..it an "accident" year... haiz... ) gosh! lets pray hard, everyone will b safe and sound....

Syvin birthday present from mi....
Taken on Fri... its "dong zhi"!!! my parents are not in Singapore, went Taiwan for tour again.. left mi and my er ge in Singapore... Met Syvin in town to search for christmas gifts... and i was searching high and low for my tang yuan... finally we found it at Wisma Foodcourt. Woohoo.....(but its EX!!! $2.50 per bowl)

a very well planned, surprised for my dear friend Syvin....phew! luckily she is those "gong gong" and "anything" gal... (Oooops...) back tracked to tue.... yeah, i msged xq and the 2 Sim bros to b free on sat... Xq said she is working on sat till 6pm and i thought we can bluff Syvin tt xq want us to acc her for dinner after work on sat (normally she dun ...) , and luckily Xq gave a suggestion.. a $10-$15 exchange of Christmas pressies among the 3 of us... this made Svyin and i got busy on thur and fri, gg round searching for pressies...haha...the onli fear we had ... she always " put us aeroplane" (bad habit ) no choice, i gotta take precaution, i msged dawn and eslin not to date her out on sat!!! haha... and i purposely insist tt Sat we must go for Ktv, but in the end we met ard 5 plus... too tired to shop and sing...phew! everything went smoothly without any suspicious from syvin... oh ya.. we had dinner at Billy Bombers @ The Cathay!! ( i went billy for 3 times in a month liao...woo..) but i kind of like The Cathay's Billy... i lik the service there..hee..

Why do people give each other presents on Christmas day?
The tradition of gifts seems to have started with the gifts that the wise men (the Magi) brought to Jesus. As recounted in the Bible's book of Matthew, "On coming to the house they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh."
As mentioned in the previous question, however, no one was really in the habit of exchanging elaborate gifts until late in the 1800s. The Santa Claus story (described later), combined with an amazing retailing phenomenon that has grown since the turn of the century, has made gift giving a central focus of the Christmas tradition.
haha... 23 yrs on earth.. i still dun noe y ppl exchange presents during Christmas but well i always like dec... Christmas deco started to b up, Christmas songs coming out from shops, ppl are shopping for presents... i just like FESTIVE seasons!!!!
Today is Tuesday... after Sociology lecture i took train to Causeway since i'm still early..saw "survey guy" a few times in sch and he tried to talk to mi when we alight at Bukit Batok. haha... guess he wana get near mi to know more abt my dearest friend. No choice, i'm always surrounded with babes.... Reached Causeway pt, i quickly rushed to MORE THAN WORDS to get presents for my dearies... though i said i wont b contributing cos i'm very very broke.. but i still feel very bad... [da wei transferred $$ and ask mi get some small gift, haha.. thanks!!! ]
Afterwhich, i took a bus from Causeway to Sengkang... through the journey i saw RAINBOW ... kekez... guess not many will hav the chance to rainbow these days... everyone busy from 9am-5pm or even ppl are living in highrise HDB flats surrounded by flats or ppl are just too stressful to even raise their heads to view the nice tranquil scenary. hee... (okok, mayb i'm sua gu la... ) tts make my day....
i'm the first to reach Compass pt carrying the heavy presents, lucky qi reached in a while and we made ourselves comfortable at pizza huts... haha.. looking at the presents they bought i feel so pai sey... so last min... they wrapped the presents themselves and mi... haiz... sorry gals.... but glad everyone enjoyed their advanced Christmas celebrations!!!

haiz... my laptop is faulty!!! the LCD is fading away...it can still b use but i'm afraid it will explode!!! haha...i'm busy the past week, celebrated Phy birthday on 2nd Dec.. glad u enjoyed urself!!! best wishes ya... oh, as most of u know....i'm not supposed to work for this sem cos of my terrible results i've got last sem... but i hav been using my "dissavings" (past savings) to the minimum tt i'm "forced" to work now... i'm broke... now i've to cope with work, studies, jap class.. gosh!!! hope i can cope it well...
ya, last week was a very mournful week,... Syvin's friend, whom i know of, Marvin Kwek passed away suddenly, leaving his 7 mths pregnant wife, Medeline alone in the world... i was dumb founded after i received a call from Syvin. Though i dun noe him well.. but he is onli 29 yrs old, y is god so cruel to take him away???? went bbq with everyone last yr, finally gotta to see Marvin and Medeline after hearing from Syvin for some times... He is very friendly, spoke to mi, spoke to david.. and everyone enjoyed and celebrated Syvin birthday together..
I attended the funeral, heart was really crying but we promised not to cry and gotta b strong, its really hard on Medeline.. (made mi thought of my aunt sobzzz) Dawn brought mi to Meddy but i'm speachless.. i'm dun noe wat to say to her.. but take care is the onli word which came into my mind..sat down and help em to fold hearts , blessing for Marvin. After a while, everyone saw Meddy walking towards the coffin and started talking to Marvin. Guess she nids a good talk with him, that scene still lingers in my mind...gosh! Meddy, u must b strong, Marvin will b there blessing ur family.
